Warranty, Care, and Repair Limited One-Year Warranty Information. Although Titleist is committed to satisfying golfers with golf products of superior performance and quality, there is a chance a warranty claim may arise. The necessary materials available for refinishing a set of golf clubs are some paint and varnish remover, waterproof glue, epoxy filler, a soft cloth, masking or duct tape, wiping stain, hard wax, toothpicks, aerosol spray varnish or lacquer, and black or white metal paint.

I originaly bought the 350cc driver for $10 and loved it so I purchased the 421cc driver and loved it so much I ended up getting the 3 and 5 wood to go with it. I then gave my brother-in-law the 350cc driver. I did get the rattle in the head on my 3 wood but it was the little screw on the bottom that was a little loose so i just tightened that up and its good to go.

If it is not loose you can try taking that screw out and getting the little piece of epoxy out of there. Im sure one of those two things is causing the rattle. I have since added the Mac wedges and love those as well. Burrows products are the Best deal in golf right now. Get em while you can. Get em while you can. I have read the reviews here. And, I guess people have to know the truth. I hit with a 3 wood & the 421cc driver and there is a rattling sound after 2 rounds of golf. Not even the range.

This DOESN'T MAKE the ball go straighter, that is purely ur swing. If you slice with ur current driver, this is NOT gonna fix it. And if u get a bad driver, something is gonna come lose, go into the clubhead, and make rattling sounds.

I actually like the 3 wood a lot. Unless it's DIRT CHEAP, ($20 - $3) and u just want to play around with a club, go with something else. I have read the reviews here.

I have tried a few different types of golf clubs with innovative designs to see what effect they have on playability - for example the Zevo Compressor driver, and the Nickent Genex Cross titanium/graphite driver. I had read some good reviews for the Burrows MAC driver and found a brand new 421cc version (8.5 degree, stiff flex) on eBay for only $23 + shipping.

I understand that Burrows went out of business, which is why excess stock can be found so cheaply. I took my new Burrows MAC driver out to the range, and I was pleasantly surprised with the performance. The club has a solid feel to it. Just about every shot felt good, without significant difference on off-center hits. It seems to me that the inverted cone design really does result in less vibration and energy loss at impact. The head gives a nice metallic 'ping' sound at impact. The workmanship of the driver appears to be top-notch.

If you are willing to try something out of the ordinary in terms of driver design, I would say that for the clearance prices that are now available, the Burrows MAC driver is worth a try. I'm not a normal golfer, I have a handicap that has made my game somewhat of an amazement to my friends. I bought this club at a salwe at Sportcheck when they knocked it down from $249 - $139- $49. Just took it to the range tonight and was blessed to have the club pro walk by and give me a pointer to put my other hand, which I don't use at all, in my pocket. I then smoked the ball 260+ yards straight down the range. If I hit the ball anywhere on the face it went fairly straight with a slight slice.

Simply Amazing!!! My previous drivers were always intimidating me cuz I couldn't hit at all, but this driver was consistantly straight. 260+ yrds. One hand.nuff said!!!

260+ yrds. One hand.nuff said!!! Like previous reviewer I got one real cheap (187AUD). I got on the launch monitor and settled on the 10.5 with a UST Proforce XL stiff. I went for the 10.5 to get a better launch angle, as the 9.5 TM R5N with grafalloy blue stiff was not getting a consistent ball flight or direction. This new club/shaft combination is the best driver I've ever hit.

It gets a high ball flight but stays straight and boring. I can just line up and blaze away knowing it won't get too far left or right on me. Not sure if it's longer than other drivers I've had but it's definitely up there, and it's all carry.

The main advantage I get with this is confidence, the high straight flight is perfect for my home course as I can fire over trees and carry trouble. The feel of this driver is also as good as I've ever hit. I thought I'd never find a better feeling driver than the R5, but this one beats it hands down. The sweet spot is so easy to find, and the feel is solid and pure on good contact. I would reccomend this club to any player looking for consistently high, straight drives that carry forever. Get properly fitted and it will be the best driver you've hit.

Golf Drivers For Seniors

The future of MacGregor Golf is cloudy, once again. In recent years, this legendary golf brand has had its share of ups and downs, ownership changes and financial challenges. Its fate is uncertain and a revival - at some point - is still possible. For all you Mac fans, it's time to remember those Mac models you've played over the years.

Here's my list: Irons - Mac blades circa 1988 (I bought them used in the early '90s and can't recall the exact model. VIP, I think). MT Tungsten Tourney - V-Foil M565 - NVG2 mids - MT Mids - MT OS (current irons) Woods - MT Tungsten Tourney driver - NVG driver - NVG2 7w - MT 4w (current) Wedges - 1025c - V-Foil 565 - MT forged (current) Putters - V-Foil Bobby Grace M5K - BG Lakewood (current) What's your Mac list?

Edited by Herky, 25 February 2009 - 10:49 AM. I've had a go with a few in my time, but the only ones I've owned are a Muirfield metal driver, c.1989, an RPM sand wedge from about the same period and a Response ZT putter that I bought on a whim years ago - and regrettably gave away. One of my fisrt drivers was a Synchrolite persimmon that I've still got and which has got more lead on it than the average church roof. Other than that, the old Muirfield 1 iron that a work colleague found in his late father's garage and gave me is the only other MacGregor club I've got.

Why weren't you impressed with the driver? Is the face closed somewhat? Thanks, HEath No.

It was square faced and looked very nice. It also felt and sounded great. It just didn't perform good enough for me to consider bagging it. It could have been the Aldila DVS stock shaft that didn't work for me, and I just didn't feel like investing any time or money into changing it.

Perhaps with a different shaft I would have a different opinion. It is the only club I ever hit the DVS shaft in it so I have no point on reference for comparison purposes. But the irons are amazing. Irons 1025m VIP Touneys (V-Foil) 3-PW, 56°SW Driver MT 460 10.5° Woods VIP Tourney 4 wood MT 13.5° Strong 3 Hybrids MT 2h MT 3h Putter Bobby Grace Face Off Response So far the only club I haven't been thriled with is the 56° SW.

It's ok, i hit it without much room to complain about results, but it feels too light to me. AS for the driver I have the Bassara shaft, and after trying several other drivers last year, I would put that thing toe to toe with any of the others. The Most similar feeling to me was the MP600 by Mizuno. I have heard a lot of people not be overly impressed with the performance with the DVS shaft, but hitting bombs with the Bassara. Recently bought the Mt driver and Mt 4 wood but haven´t had time to test them, just couldn´t resist the price. I play the NVG2 Tour driver and NVG2 Draw 3, 5 and 7 woods.

As Charlton Heston said: 'from my cold dead hands' Best driver and fairways I have ever played!!!! I am going to buy a set of Pro Cs as soon as possible. Tried them and I think they are top notch and look gorgeous.

The NVG2 mid irons were good, but not outstanding for me as the driver and woods are. Sad to see Macgregor waving goodbye.

I played a set of Jack Nicklaus signature blades circa mid-60's from about 1972 to about 1990. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe these may have been the first JN signature iron model introduced by MacGregor. They were hand-me-downs from my dad. I also played a set of MacGregor Tourney mid 60's persimmon woods (again, hand-me-downs) that I got refinished in the mid 80's and continued to game them into the 90's when I was the very last person I played golf with to switch to metal woods. I also have a set of MT irons from the late 50's that I never played but am keeping around. They belonged to dad as well.

Anyone here a collector or knowledgeable about MacGregor models? I should post up some photos. The mac m685 and miura pcb tour BOTH are amazing clubs!!! They have made me a better player. The m685 are down right ridiculous for distance. So much so that i have a problem when i'm in too tight.

The PCB tour are so purely accurate can hit targets in the air (have to practice indoors in winter) I have turned into a huge macgregor guy. Still use cleveland wedges but have a macgregor bobby grace putter (ugly as a bicycle pedal. But the boys after insulting it wanted to buy it. In fact two did end up getting their own) Golf is 80% marketing. And making a great club doesn't get tiger woods to hit it. Dumping sponsership last year was a bad sign especially when they had such great player irons. Greg Norman made a run using his macs last year.

That said it was more about him than the clubs. Macs have been the biggest bargain in golf for the last few years. Imagine not spending 600-1000 on clubs and picking up a set of PCB tour for $200 or Macm685 for a touch more AMD spending the hundreds of bucks saved in lessons! Who would be the better golfer the person owning the latest taylor made plastic inserted offset irons. You get my drift. Simply the best clubs for the money in recent memory.

I bought a set of Pro Cs this time last year. They were great looking but they were D3 swing weight, so I got rid of them.

Still think they were great. Also played a few different Persimmon drivers back in the day, like a M75W and Mt2w MT persimmon driver. Also used to like hitting an old Armour 2 wood, think it was a AT2W w a leather grip. I could hit that 2 wood solid about 230 yds. I also had an awesome set of Jack Nicklaus JNPs in the early 90s I played with for a couple of years.

They were awesome. My 1st real set of clubs as a kid in the very early 80s were a set of used Tourneys.

Here is a pic. They didn't look that great, but I can still remember how great they felt. They were pretty pure. Edited by freddiec, 26 February 2009 - 09:33 AM. What are your thoughts on the MT fairway woods, how do you like the shafts? I've got the MT 4w and have only been able to play a couple of rounds with it because of the weather.

My early impression is positive - nice set-up, medium trajectory, fairly forgiving, good distance and control, solid sound/feel at impact. I think the stock shaft will work well for me, but I usually play a reg. Flex shaft with a medium or medium/soft tip.

I notice you play stiffs and x-stiff so I don't know if Mac's stock s-flex shaft will play firm enough for you.
